There are several ways to apply a skin to your portal:
To apply the skin to all pages:
- Go to Admin > Site Settings > Basic Settings > Appearance
- There you will find 4 drop down menus: Portal Skin, Portal Container, Admin Skin, Admin Container.
- If you want to apply a skin you uploaded with the Host Account, the “Host” option of the check boxes at the top of the drop down menus must be checked.
If you want to apply a skin you uploaded with the Admin Account, the “Admin” option of the check boxes at the top of the drop down menus must be checked.
- Select the “skin's name – skin file1” from the list at Portal Skin drop down menu to apply the skin to the non-admin pages of your portal.
- Select the “skin's name – skin file1” from the list at Portal Container drop down menu to apply the container to all the modules at the non-admin pages of your portal.
- Select the “skin's name – skin file1” from the list at Admin Skin drop down menu to apply the skin to the admin pages of your portal.
- Select the “skin's name – skin file1” from the list at Admin Container drop down menu to apply the container to all the modules at the admin pages of your portal.
- Click Update at the bottom of that page.
To apply the skin to a specific page:
- Browse the page you want to apply the skin
- Click Settings from the “Page Functions” at the top left of the page
- Go to Advanced Settings > Appearance and find the Page Skin and Page Container drop down menus
- If you want to apply a skin you uploaded with the Host Account, the “Host” option of the check boxes at the top of the drop down menus must be checked.
If you want to apply a skin you uploaded with the Admin Account, the “Admin” option of the check boxes at the top of the drop down menus must be checked.
- Select the “skin's name – skin file1” from the list at Page Skin drop down menu to apply the skin to that page.
- Select the “skin's name – skin file1” from the list at Portal Container drop down menu to apply the container to that page's modules.
- Click Update at the bottom of that page.
To apply a container to a specific module:
- Browse the page with the module you want to apply the skin
- Mouse over the small actions arrow beside the module's title (if you cannot see that arrow, click the Preview icon from the Page Functions at the top left of this page)
- Click “Settings”
- Go to Page Settings > Basic Settings and find the Module Container drop down menu.
- If you want to apply a skin you uploaded with the Host Account, the “Host” option of the check boxes at the top of the drop down menus must be checked.
If you want to apply a skin you uploaded with the Admin Account, the “Admin” option of the check boxes at the top of the drop down menus must be checked.
- Select the “skin's name – skin file1” from the list at the drop down menu to apply the container to that module.
- Click Update at the bottom of that page.
1. Many skin and container packages come with more than one skin files (instances of the same skin) in them, which means more options for you to choose from. So when you select a skin, the names have two parts: the left part is the skin's name and the right part is the file name (instance).
