Hi, I've thought about posting these questions on DNN forums but having to get them moderated before I even get someone reading them puts me off a little! Besides, in in the few posts I've made here I've had very quick accurate answers which, most importantly, I can actually understand and follow!!
OK, here goes ......
I have a domain, http://www.rebelrathosting.com which now has a custom skin installed on it that I built for a client (I reckon its pretty cool and would like some independant feedback on that as well)
All works well. However, I created a sub-domain to host the new skin on, easier for me, more professional etc etc - so I created http://tasracing.rebelrathosting.com
I created a Parent portal through Admin > Portals on http://www.rebelrathosting.com and left all the defaults
Everything seems to be fine until I go into the sub-domain and say need to upload an image into an image module then I get the following error .....
An error has occurred. DotNetNuke.Services.Exceptions.ModuleLoadException: Could not find a part of the path "C:\Domains\rebelrathosting.com\wwwroot\tasracing\Portals\5\". ---> System.IO.DirectoryNotFoundException: Could not find a part of the path "C:\Domains\rebelrathosting.com\wwwroot\tasracing\Portals\5\". at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String str) at System.IO.Directory.InternalGetFileDirectoryNames(String fullPath, String userPath, Boolean file) at System.IO.DirectoryInfo.GetDirectories(String searchPattern) at System.IO.DirectoryInfo.GetDirectories() at DotNetNuke.UI.UserControls.UrlControl.LoadFolders(DirectoryInfo ChildDir) at DotNetNuke.UI.UserControls.UrlControl.ShowControls() at DotNetNuke.UI.UserControls.UrlControl.Page_Load(Object sender, EventArgs e) --- End of inner exception stack trace ---
Can anyone shed some light on what I'm doing wrong - I am guessing its to do with the Parent Portal I created but as I am very unfamiliar with DNN (yet) I am only guessing.
If anyone wants to help me out I'd be very grateful. |

Hi Allan,
I can't find something wrong on what you did...
Why don't you try the following:
1) Create a new child portal, let's say http://www.rebelrathosting.com/tasracing 2) Check if it works properly 3) If it works without problems then: - delete the other one (the one with the problem) - go to the new one's site settings and add a new portal alias (tasracing.rebelrathosting.com)
If the new one doesn't work properly too, I assume that there is problem with your DotNetNuke installation.
Let me know as I 'm curious!

Hi, thanks for the reply Vasilis.
Worked - I thought I'd done that just the same before, obviously not! Thanks again.
