Hi, I have a job that allows PLENTY of downtime to do online learning. I want to give myself from now to July 2008 to learn web design, graphic design, logo design, and stuff like that. If I am able to practice 5 days per week, for 5 hours a day, every week for the next year, would it be possible to obtain the knowledge? I am very interested in designing 1960s retro sites and I don't feel like spending thousands of dollars at a university as any skills I get will be used on personal projects only. You hear stories about 16 year old web designers so I figured I may have a shot too. ANd how much would I have to spend on buying software like Dreamweaver, and graphic design software?

You know, this is a non-stop learning area. But if you got the basics then it's not that hard to follow. If you can really practice 5 days per week for 5 hours a day every week, then your're going to get to a good level in 5 months. Just kidding! The time you need depends on many factors and mainly on your learning ability, your patience and your insistence. One year sounds good! But you need to love it or else everything will look difficult no matter how much time you spend on practicing. Dreamweaver is great, that's for sure. All Adobe's software is great if you can afford it. You can find the prices on Adobe's site. The Creative Suite 3 Web Premium includes everything you need for web and graphic design. I'll be happy to hear about your progress from time to time. Good luck!

Hi!. Is dotnetnuke starter kit can be installed on Dreamweaver just like in visual web developer 2008? Is there a dreamweaver extension for asp.net 2.0 on dreamweaver?
